A major financial services firm in Central London required a highly flexible meeting room solution capable of adapting to changing workplace demands while maintaining exceptional acoustic privacy throughout the space. Working alongside Overbury, Movawall delivered five Type 100SE semi-automatic movable wall systems across the fourth floor of the building, allowing staff to
create a suite of six meeting rooms when required.

The systems provide the flexibility to rapidly transform the workspace — functioning as individual meeting rooms for focused discussions or opening into larger collaborative environments as required. Each movable wall has been carefully integrated into the architecture, with panels stacking neatly into concealed storage bays hidden within the surrounding wall construction when not in use. The semi-automatic operation of the Type 100SE system further enhances usability, allowing staff to reconfigure the space quickly and efficiently while maintaining consistent acoustic sealing and exceptional sound performance across each opening.

Acoustic performance was a critical requirement for the project. The Type 100SE system was selected due to its market-leading sound reduction capabilities, helping minimise sound transfer between spaces and ensuring confidential conversations can take place without disruption from neighbouring rooms.

To complement the wider interior scheme, panel frames were finished in a deep blue to match the surrounding timber panelling applied to the fixed walls within the space, while the panel faces were finished in Maharam Tek-Wall Brook fabric in the “Eloquent” colourway, introducing a subtle texture and refined contemporary aesthetic.
