Board of Directors

Born in Poland, Nowakowski studied mechanical engineering at the University of Warsaw, specialising in machine tools design, before relocating to Germany to work for the movable wall production company, Abopart.
Having then moved to London, Bogdan was eager to start his own company and the idea for Movawall was first dreamt up in his local pub.
From humble origins, with its first office in a portable cabin and a staff total of three (two men and a dog!) Movawall has gone from strength to strength: the company’s first successes included work for the De Vere hotel in Southampton, KPMG, Marks & Spencer, and Texaco HQ. It was the growing need for high sound reduction however, as well as fully electric partitions that made the company stand out above the competition allowing our products to develop in tandem with client requests.
Today, Movawall caters for a variety of spaces and environments and its success can be seen in the strength of its professional partnerships.
As Chairman of Movawall Systems Ltd and Movawall Holding Ltd, Bogdan cites the company’s team and directors as key to its achievements and longevity.
In his spare time he is a keen tennis-player, skier and golfer.

Having been with Movawall since its inception, Brian’s background as a Master joiner brings an added dimension to overcoming the varied hurdles faced by our design and installations teams.
In his current position he supervises a group of 35 Movawall employees and enjoys the technical challenges posed by different projects. He cites particularly ambitious projects, such as the company’s work for the London School of Hygiene, as evidence that Movawall always strives to be the best in quality and the most technically advanced in movable wall manufacture.
A sea-lover, in his spare time Captain Townsend enjoys navigating the open seas as an offshore skipper.

Having been involved in the movable wall industry since 1986, Colin joined Movawall in the summer of 1989 as the company’s first full-time employee, initially as a salesman before working his way up as Senior Sales Director.
He has overall responsibility for all Movawall Group sales activities and specializes in high-end projects, with many successfully completed prestigious contracts for numerous blue chip clients, specifically located within central London.
For Colin, Movawall remains innovative because it meets many different needs and specialities that range from client to client. The portfolio of products offered by Movawall ensures that any requirement clients have can be fully met with the latest technology available and with a wealth of in-house experience.
A Fulham fan, his most memorable moment for the company was being able to provide installations for the executive boxes at the home and training ground of his favourite Football Club.

Tim Foster
Having started out in production and mechanical engineering, Tim was first approached by Movawall as a client and quickly became involved with the company as a sales manager, before becoming a director.
He enjoys seeing projects through to completion, being involved in the early-planning stages right through to delivery of the product.
He is optimistic about future prospects nationwide, and relishes the diversity of London as a place in which future growth can be achieved.
Originally possessing great claim to fame having started life as one of Britain’s few 1960s triplets, Tim is a keen family man, and is proud to be a part of the Movawall team.

Terry Hart
Formally a freelance design engineer Terry joined Movawall in 1997 as a draughtsman, working his way to his current position of Contracts Director.
Remaining close to the design and technical side of the operation and always looking to embrace the innovation of the Sales force, Terry has been responsible for delivering unique projects such as Straight Jacket recording studios, Hogan Lovell’s auditorium and the British Embassy, Jakarta among many others.
As well as his position of running the Contracts department he is also responsible for the company’s IT strategy.
